it’s been a while for me… but let me see if i remember:
    you’ll need
    turn tables
    synthesizer
    amplifiers
    speakers
    professional CD players
    CR writer
computer or laptop with mixing software (search for what ever software your most comfortable using)
you’ll also need to get a collection of conversion software to convert different music files into something you can work with
    a keyboard (i suggest a “Trinity”)
and a membership with one or more with downloading web-sites.
if you wanna know more read DJ Mag or go to http://www.atb.com as you might know ATB is one of the top ten DJs in the world and his site might have some useful info, plus he also started a school with some other DJs, it might be a good idea to spend the summer there.

Look at Sam3 Broadcaster, and ask around in places such as inx radio’s IRC channel for help, support, advice and whatever else you need.

In eclectic music they use. Drum Machines, Synths, and Samplers. In scratching they might use parts of these things plus sample records with turntables. For software fruity loops is real good for electronic music.
