I have just paid £115 for 30 "used" records from a guy in New York = USA.As they will be in one parcel will it be subject to import duty?.I cannot find the info on the hm customs site.
I ask because i once ended up with a £70 bill when i paid £500 for a "used electronic musical" instrument from the USA.

I make music, and have always been fascinated by the musical landscapes found in ambient electronic music in particular. There are several "ambient" songs in the movie Crash that I like, including the songs, "Crash" and "Find My Baby", created by film composer Mark Isham. I am very curious to know how this kind of "movie music"--the wordless, ambient, atmospheric stuff that adds mood to movie scenes--is made. If I had to emulate certain instruments to reproduce that kind of sound, which instruments would I have to think about? The closest one I can think of is the synth keyboard, but there might be much more to it than that. And is there an official genre title for this kind of music? Thank all of you that choose to answer my questions.
