I want to learn how to make music . Currently I know how a studio works , one person sings and then there is a bunch of electronic applications that creates beat and some record the sound.
But i want to understand every single one of these instruments ( electronic ) ..Where can I learn these stuff. ? Don't tell me straight to take a music class ( because that doesn't make much sense , when what I really want to do is understand what each devices are in a studio and what they do )
Only serious answers , please ?..

Need to know name of a certain piece of music equipment and the name of a documentry about the man who made it?
Ok there is a documentry made about some guy...I think from England who created this piece of music equipment that makes all these differemt kinds of sounds. I can't remember the name of the documentry, or guys name who created it. I had thought that the name of the music equipment was called a Moob. Then I see that moob is term for man boobs. Does anyone know what documentry and stuff I am talking about? Your help is appreciated.

My dad plays french horn, my brother plays cello, and I play clarinet. Are there any trio books that we could make work for those instruments? (keeping in mind cello could play any string instrument part, clarinet could also play trumpet or tenor sax, etc.)

I have been a musician for several years now, and I am great at guitar and keyboard. Recently I've got into dance music, techno, and trance. I want to make dance music, but I'm not exactly sure what sort of equipment I need....synths, grooveboxes, drum machines????
or would i be better off going with a full computer software system?
